Lauren Holt

Lauren is an junior engineering student from Raleigh, NC. She has a strong interest in immunology, microbiology, and chemistry. She is passionate about immunity and looks forward to contributing to advancements in the field, including vaccine development.

In her free time, she plays video games, does puzzles and painting.

Jazmine Taylor

Jazmine is a 2nd-year physics student from Raleigh, NC. She is curious about a wide variety of scientific disciplines, as she aspires to pursue a PhD in the natural or biological sciences. While she is early in her academic career, she actively seeks opportunities to explore where her true passion lies. 

In her free time she enjoys reading, learning, and talking about subjects like astronomy, civil rights, history, neuroscience, and philosophy. 

David Davenport

David is a 2nd-year student in Biological Engineering from Suffolk, VA, with a focus on natural resources. He has a strong interest in environmental systems and sustainability. He is passionate about nature and looks forward to contributing to advancements in the field to protect natural ecosystems through the development of new biological systems. 

In his free time, he writes poetry, reads, and plays badminton.

Kayla Tyler

Kayla Tyler is a junior Biology student on the pre-med track from Richmond, Va. She has a strong interest in microbiology and genetics. After graduation, she plans to become a physician assistant.  She is passionate about research that explores how genetic and environmental factors shape health outcomes, and she hopes to contribute to studies that make healthcare more equitable and accessible.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, working out, traveling, cooking, and community service.

Mya Pridgen

Mya is a Junior Biology student from Newport News, Va, with a strong interest in virology, bacteriology, and microbiology. She is passionate about studying microbes that cause disease and hopes to make a meaningful impact in the field through future research and innovation. 

In her free time, Mya enjoys playing video games, watching anime, working out, and expressing herself through creative writing.
